4" diameter precision turned aluminum drive wheel. The drive wheel is 4" in diameter & crowned to ensure accurate belt tracking (cheap hand turned wheels are not crowned). The face of the drive wheel is 2-1/4". The set screw(included) is 1/4-20 . The wheel is broached all the way through, cheap drive wheels are not broached all the way through (notice a step cut in bore or deep dished away side) which means the wheel cannot be reversed from time to time to ensure even wear.Please note that the bore of this drive wheel is 7/8", see our other listings if your require a drive wheel with 5/8" or 3/4" bore. For DIY style grinders like GIB, EERF, NO WELD etc. Also work well on any professionally manufactured 2x72" belt grinder. The wheels are 2-1/4" face width to comfortably accept any commercial 2" wide grinding belt. We use these wheels on the top quality grinders & flat plattens that we manufacture & our design has been thoroughly tested to withstand even the harshest knifemaking environments! We do not paint or anodize our wheels as this just comes off basically on your first use.
